Spectacular 18" Handel reverse painted lamp. Investment quality. It is not often that you can call a 90 year old lamp "mint". However this lamp is perfect. The base is bronzed metal of vertically-ribbed Chinese form, the foot molded to simulate a Chinese carved and pierced hardwood stand, the upper section molded as a stylized tree trunk. The base has the best original patina I have ever seen on any lamp. The shade has great color that just jumps at you. Price upon request.

Pastel colors on this classic lamp pictured on page 50 of Louis O. St Aubin, Jr's original book on Pairpoint lamps. The artist thought enough of his work to sign the lamp. There are no cracks, or chips on the shade, only a few minor flea bites that one cannot see. You can only feel them by rubbing your finger along the bottom of the rim.
The diameter of the shade is 20 plus inches and the lamp is about 22" tall. Minor aging to the base.

Exceptionally well painted which is demonstrated by the artists signature. What makes this lamp so unique is that most reverse painted lamps have one major scene and one secondary scene. This lamps is a mural, reverse painted on a lamp depicting castles, lakes, woods, people, horses. The lamp is featured in the Pairpoint book on page 122. Malakoff thought enough of this lamp to devote and entire page to it. The shade is over 20" and the lamp stands over 23" There are no chips, cracks or flea bites. The base has some wear consistent with its 90 years.

This is a rare circa 20s signed N.W.A.S. double slag panel adjustable desk lamp with the original undamaged green, blue and purple slag panels. The ornate overlay features an eagle with spread wings above three doves flanked by cornucopias filled with apples. Original gold d'ore finish with polychrome painted detail. I have to think this was a commemorative piece. No damage to overlay. Original Hubbell pull chain socket hardware has been rewired, works perfectly. 13" tall when in the upright position. 9-1/2" wide side to side, shade is 8" wide. Some paint restoration done to the side of the lamp.

When advanced collectors and lamp dealers ask what is the color like, this is what they are seeking. Blinding, rich tasteful colors. I have seen this lamp several times and there is no comparison in choice and combination of glass color that this artist used. As nice as the photo is, it does not come close to projecting what this lamp offers. I will be delighted to send more photos upon request. A picture of this lamp with green paneling appears on page 262 of Paul Chris's book. The diameter of the shade is about 20" and the height is about 24". A very dynamic lamp. A few hairlines consistent with being 100 years old. Base is in very good condition

It is in excellent condition throughout. the paint quality on the shade is superb. no losses, peeling, or sickness. the colors are crisp and bright. the shade without cracks or rim chips and is acid etched. the base in excellent original patina from the finial to the bottom and needing no excuses whatsoever. even has its original working socket and turn key. It has been recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord. if i had to complain about the shade in any way it would be the fact that there are a couple of flea bites around the top rim of the shade. these are obviously hidden when the cap and finial are in place and do not detract in any way, shape, or form from this great period 1920-1930 lamp. I mention this only to be accurate for the super fussy. The base measures 13 inches tall and the shade is 8 and 1/8 inches wide by 4 inches tall.
